Membership Information

The growth of the sorority depends on individual members’ contributions of their unique talents, skills, and ideas. A benefit to being a member of a national sorority is that our members can… Serve on national committees under the direction of a member of the National Board of Directors. Exchange ideas about service, membership development, fundraising and leadership opportunities at the local and national level. Participate in nationally-sponsored events such as attend district Spirit Days, regional Leadership Conferences and National Conventions where members interact with other members that share similar ideals, interests and goals. Volunteer with national nonprofits with whom Gamma Sigma Sigma has developed standing relationships.

Gamma Sigma Sigma is primarily a collegiate sorority, meaning that members gain lifetime membership upon activation into a collegiate chapter at a college or university. Potential members must meet the requirements set by the respective chapter’s college or university policies regarding involvement in student organizations before joining Gamma Sigma Sigma. Collegiate members can be either undergraduate or graduate students.
