All chapter meetings MUST be conducted via virtual means to ensure the health and safety of everyone.
We strongly recommend leniency in attendance probation due to the pandemic as well as the unknown nature of electronic means and access. It is important to ensure all chapter members involved are able to have their voice heard and considered. Should your chapter need to conduct a vote, we recommend sources that will display the results of votes cast. SurveyMonkey.com is a great source the NBD uses which allows for votes to be cast and counted, and is easy to show to all members to prevent any notion of bias. Tools for hosting meetings include conference calls and, web conference services like Zoom, WebEx, Google Meet, etc. Check with your campus IT department to see exactly what services are available to you as students and share with your chapter members!
Each chapter’s bylaws and/or standing rules specify the amount of chapter dues due and the due date. Each chapter will need to decide how they choose to proceed in reference to chapter dues for Fall 2020. The National Board will NOT make a decision on how each chapter will handle its personal finances.
